The Hamilton Hawks Rugby Union Club is one of the region’s premier clubs, fielding men’s and women’s senior grades and all-age junior teams in the Newcastle-Hunter Rugby Union competition.
Founded in 1967, the Hamilton Hawks prides itself as a club with strong values and ethics that encourages and supports participation for all.
Led by President Lesa Mason, the first female elected to the position in the Club’s history, and Premier 1 Coach Cameron Murphy, the Hawks have a strong sense of community and inclusion.
Season 2025
The 2025 season built on more than a decade of strong on-field performance, including the historic five-peat premiership run that helped shape the modern identity of the Hamilton Hawks. It was another year defined by commitment, resilience, and pride in the blue and gold, both on and off the field.
Throughout 2025, the Hawks proudly fielded teams across Premier 1, Premier 2, Premier 3 and Women’s grades, continuing to represent the club strongly in the Newcastle–Hunter Rugby competition.
Our junior program also continued to grow, with teams across the U7 to U16 age groups, as well as all-girls teams in the junior competition. The strength of our junior pathway remains a key part of the club’s future, helping to develop not just players, but confident young people who carry the Hawks spirit beyond the field.
